8/30: Wow... what a summer ! Can't believe its Back to School time again ! We've had an exciting and fun summer and now its time to make sure to balance our time with academics, home life and cheer so that we can best utilize our practice time at the gym.
REMINDER: The gym is CLOSED from 8/30-9/6 to allow you time to adjust to getting back to school and also to enjoy the Labor Day Weekend. The gym will be open on Tues-Thurs 8/31 to 9/2 from 5:00-7:30 for "OPEN GYM" Cheerleaders - take advantage of this opportunity to get together with your stunt group or work on your tumbling.
UPDATES
1) Fall INTENSIVE dates have been set and are posted at the gym. Also take a look on the Calendar. It is each individuals responsibility to know when your team will be having the Intensives. The Intensives are MANDATORY so be sure to mark your calendar and make schedule changes as necessary.
2) The prototype for our New Uniforms are IN ! We will be posting the pictures on the Members' Only Site so if you have not already registered, be sure to do so immediately.
3) All Hotel Reservations must be completed by August 31st. If you have not done so already, please email or call in your confirmation numbers to Kris and Karolyn.
4) Although the gym is closed until the 7th, FEES are still due by the 5th. Please make sure to bring it into the gym between 5:00-7:30pm Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday or you may mail the payment in to our P.O Box. If payment is not received or postmarked by 9/5, you will incurr a late fee.
5) Spirit Wear is now available! Order sheets are at the gym and will be posted on the Members' Only Website on 9/1. Please print it out and attach your check to the order sheet. Please make all checks payable to NV Pro Shop.
6) Anyone wishing to do fundraising through Qwest Field MUST contact Karolyn immediately kar0lynak@comcast.net Everyone wanting to fundraise at UW must take an orientation class or you will lose your slot. Please contact Kris at svensis@msn.com ASAP in order to reserve a spot for you and your cheerleader. Deadline for class and sign up for UW is this Friday 9/3.
7) Our Club Auction is schedule for October. Please make sure that your cheerleader has turned in their $10.00 to their team parent and/or coach. Tickets will also be available for sale once we return. Remember, each cheerleader must sell 5 tickets or buy out at $50.00. Please let Kris know if you are planning to buy out. 7/19: Great job to all the teams during the first phase of our camps ! We would like to give a big thank you to ANYA and her staff for an amazing three days !! Make sure to rest up this weekend for Stunt and Pyramid Clinic. We have a lot of work ahead of us ! Our amazing staff of guest coaches will be sure to make this camp the best ever !! Lets come prepared to work hard and to learn as much as possible.
UPDATES
1) Our BRAND NEW SPRING FLOOR is now complete !! Thank you SO much to all our staff, parent volunteers and ofcourse our cheerleaders for their contributions in making this happen !! We now officially have 25 panels of which 16 are Spring !! Whats next? We are looking to get our Tumbletrak this winter.... NV is indeed our home away from home.
2) Stunt and Pyramid Clinic schedules have been posted. Please make sure to bring yourself a snack, sack lunch and plenty of water. We will be working very hard and we need everyone to be at their best. Attire for camp is as follows: Monday/Black, Tuesday/Red, Wednesday/White, Thursday/Black. PLEASE wear appropriate shoes, bows in hair and ofcourse bring a good attitude. We will be working on choreography.
3) NV Wild Waves day is scheduled for July 24th. If you have not done so already, you can purchase tickets for $35.00. This includes admission and a meal voucher. We will be there so don't miss out on the fun !!!
4) New Fundraisers have been posted. Please take a look at the calendars on the fundraising wall. We are also doing carwash tickets. Please contact Kris at svensis@msn.com for more information and ofcourse to get fundraising items.
5) Finally -- we will be running extra tumbling classes for those that are interested. If you would like to be in a second tumbling class please let Branden know. There is a special rate for NV members.

6/15: Congratulations to all our Seniors for graduating from High School ! Your NV family is VERY proud of you and all your accomplishments ! Remember -- we support you as you head out into the world whether it be to college or into the workforce !! You will always be a very important part of us and although we will miss you all, we are very happy that you are forging ahead towards your destiny !! Thank you for letting NV be a part of your life and for being a part of ours !! We also want to wish everyone the best as they go into Finals Week !! Your hardwork will pay off !! For those of you who have survived Finals?? Hooray !! Its summertime!
Have you noticed the newest phenomenon at the gym?? Those WONDERFUL BOWS ! Its a Galleria of Bows ! Your enthusiasm towards this new tradition has been amazing ! Its a treat to come in every day and see what new fashion statement is being made ! We have to officially crown Ms. Rose as the "Queen of Bows" she certainly has brighten up our gym with her creations !!! Keep it up everyone !!

1) Our Spring floor is slated to be delivered sometime next week !!! We are so excited !! It will be a great addition to the new look of the Gym ! Thank you to all our Senior Boys for helping with the painting ! The gym looks amazing ! We also want to say thank you to Carrie (Emma's mom) for making our gym so beautiful and clean !! Please take a moment and thank her for all her hard work ! We also want to thank our cheerleaders for cleaning up after yourselves ! Its nice to know you care enough about your second home to keep it looking lovely !!
2) Performance Team sign ups are currently in progress. Parade and Events Schedules will be posted on the "Members Only Site" Again - if you have not already done so, please sign up for the site
3) A friendly reminder that the 50% deposit for the camps are due this month. If you have not already done so, please drop off at the office. The balance will be due no later than July 14th.
4) If you are planning on a summer vacation, you must submit to Branden and in writing those dates you will be missing. Please remember that the end of July and beginning of August are the busiest time of the summer for us. Most of a cheerleaders progression will occur during these times so try and plan your vacations around these times. Furthermore, Please check the calendar for gym closure dates.
Finally: Choreography Intensives are currently being scheduled. These intensives are MANDATORY and EVERYONE must be in attendance. Missing these intensives jeopardizes your position in the routines. They will be held on two differents Saturdays and Sundays AFTER school starts this fall.

5/21: Congratulations Cheerleaders !! You all made it through the first week of practices !! Great job everyone !! We are VERY proud of how well every team has been doing !! Its great to see our veterans helping out the new cheerleaders and we LOVE the excitement and dedication of the new members !!
Updates:
1) Please remember that the gym will be closed for the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend. Regular practice schedules will resume beginning Tuesday June 1st.
2) We will be placing your Enrollment Contract in your cheerleaders box so please review it carefully before you sign and be sure to return to us on Tuesday and Wednesday. All invoices will also be available to you on June 2nd. As a friendly reminder -- all payments are due no later than the 5th of each month.
3) Our new Spring Floor is scheduled to be delivered in July and we will also be getting a tumbletrak !! We are so very excited as these items will enhance our ability to train our members !! Thank you to our friends, families and members for helping raise some of the funds for these items !!
4) Our gym will be getting a new look this weekend as well... we will be painting the interior of our facility in our signature colors so if you would like to help? Email us !!
5) FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY !! Kris Hartgrave will have available to you an opportunity to sell ButterBraids. This has traditionally been a great fundraiser for those that participate -- so please contact her or email us if you are interested in getting a packet. FINALLY: Please remember that deadlines for practice gear and camps are fast approaching. Payment for the Boot Camp is due in June and at least 50% of camp fees are due by the end of June. The balance must be paid by the first day of Boot Camp. Please purchase your practice gear no later than May 31st in order to receive your gear by the first week of July. We will not be making additional orders again until August. Lastly -- although your shoes are included in your Uniform package, if you would like them sooner, you have the option to pay for the shoes now and we will deduct this amount from the uniform package price and adjust your monthly payment to reflect this. Please note that Fittings for uniforms will not happen until August.
ON A SIDENOTE: A group of beautiful and wonderful parents will be starting a "walking club" during some of the practices. They will also be putting together a ZUMBA class for you !! If you are interested -- let us know ! We will get you contact with the organizers !! We can all get fit together !!

5/16: What an amazing turnout for our Third Season Tryouts!! Great to see all the returners as well as all the new faces here at NV !! We would like to say WELCOME AND WELCOME BACK !!! We know everyone is anxious to see which teams you are on -- so please make sure you are registered with the members only site and then check back after 5:00pm for the postings. It was so heartwarming to see all the support everyone gave each other during tryouts -- the clapping, the cheering, the hugs and words of encouragement as everyone got ready to try out and for their achievements after they finished. We saw some firsts as skills were thrown and we saw the potential of everyone as NO ONE held back !! It is safe to say we are off to a great start everyone !! Way to show your Club Spirit !!
In case you all didn't notice -- COACH LIZ came back a whole day early just to be with all of you for tryouts !! She is anxious and ready to get things going at NV !! We would also like for all of you to take a moment and introduce yourselves to the new members of our staff!! Let us all give COACH VAL and COACH KAYLIE a HEARTFELT HELLO !! They are truly amazing and will be a FABULOUS addition to our NV FAMILY !!
After receiving the results from the Survey (thanks to all that participated! For those who did not get one -- let us know! You will be directed to the website ! We want to hear from you too!!) we have made some changes that will make your experience at NV even better ! Thank you for your honesty and productive comments. There were several BRILLIANT ideas and we look forward to implementing these things in the new season!

Get your T-shirts, Sweatshirts, Jackets, Spankies and other spirit gear ordered so that you will be ready to go by our first Competition! The Pro Shop will begin taking orders on Monday May 10th !!

We have some really amazing things planned for the 2010-2011 season!! We will be working skillz, tumbling and team bonding throughout the summer. Check your emails and this site often for Schedule of Events and other activities. On a Sidenote --- we will be getting our third floor in June/July!!! (THANK YOU NV FAMILIES AND NVESA!!) What does that mean?? Tumbling, tumbling and more tumbling !!!! SKILLS SKILLS AND MORE SKILLS !! You will gain most of the skills progression in both stunting and tumbling in the summer -- our coaches are ready to work with you to be the best you can be!! Don't slack or miss out on this great opportunity !!!
FINALLY -- Congratulations to our 2009-2010 NV Cheerleaders!! Through hard work, dedication, loyalty, love and perserverance -- we created a memorable and exciting season!! For those that are graduating or moving on ... we will miss you and thank you for your time with us. Remember, OPEN GYM is encouraged for NV members but is OPEN to anyone -- you do not need to be a member of NV to participate!! Come work on your skills, practice with team members, work with the coaches on tumbling, stunting and jumps or just come on by and play on the trampolines and equipment. There is something for everyone and every skill level. The cost is the same for everyone -- $5.00 per person.
